What is sambal oelek?

Answer:
Sambal is a, it's a hot sauce, basically. Um, now it's uh, I think it's Indonesian, um, and it is typically a red pepper of some sort. It usually has ginger, garlic, uh, lemongrass in it as well too. Um, it is quite spicy, but very good. So like a sriracha that most people are used to in the, a red bottle with the green top is usually a garlic flavored with red chili. The, uh, lemongrass and the ginger add a different dynamic to it, which is super good. Um, great, great flavor to it, also very spicy.
