Have you any thoughts on how to make a buttermilk substitute that has a similar flavor profile as buttermilk?

Answer:
Yeah, so buttermilk is actually just an easy thing to be able to do, which you just wanna start out with is just basically your nut milk and then add a little bit of lemon to that. You'll actually start to see it curdle a little bit. That's actually what the buttermilk is. It's a great buttermilk substitute and you should be able to use that in the same way you're using other things. Good for pancakes, all kinds of things like that as well too. Just don't add too much lemon to it, uh, just a little bit. 'cause a long way for it. And you don't wanna overpower the flavor of the nut milk to be able to get the lemon flavor.
